    Description

    Beautiful Early American pressed glass (EAPG) crystal trumpet vase.
    12” tall, 78” inner depth, 5 5/8” diameter across the bottom.
    A variety of patterns adorn it from bottom to top. On the underside bottom is a 48-point starburst.
    8 vertical rows of beading ring the first 3 ½” of the V-shaped stem.
    In the next row are four 8-mitre downward pointing fans circling the vase and above them are a number of motifs including starred diamonds, pyramidal tables and miter cut fans.
    Finally, pointing upward are four large 11-mitre fans with tips ending in a scalloped rim.
    It is considered crystal because it is comprised of up to a 50% lead content (versus 24% for modern crystal), which accounts for its brilliance and weight.
    The vase weighs 2 lbs 5.3 oz.
