    Description

This glass creamer measures approximately 6 3/4" tall to the top of the handle, 2 3/4" wide at the base, and 5 1/2" long from handle to pouring lip. This is in the Tree of Life pattern, first made around 1870 by Portland Glass Company of Maine. Several other companies made this pattern after Portland Glass, such as Boston & Sandwich Glass, Hobbs, and George Duncan & Sons. I believe this was done by one of those later companies around the 1870's or 1880's. The details of the design looks less like the Portland Glass version, and more like one of those other companies. It is very well done glass with an applied handle. I think there is a small crack in the creamer, running horizontal, where the handle is attached to the upper portion. There is a closeup in the last photo. The surface feels smooth, and the creamer doesn't sound cracked when thumped. I can't say for sure if it is a crack, straw mark, or part of the design, but I wanted to mention it. That is the only issue I found. There are no other cracks, chips, or damage. Please see my pictures, and thanks for looking!
