Silver Calling card, Dance card
(carnet du bal) Note card, aide memoire. Germany

Hallmarked
Beautiful and lovely Card case. Unique
Rectangular shape. Cherubs, on top of both sides.
At the bottom of both sides, different romantic scenes. Scrolls and plumes.
Inside: place for the cards and for a small pencil which is no longer there.
Hallmarked: moon, crown, "800" and "GR" the name of silversmith´s punch.
Two tiny punch back up. (see photo)
This card might have originally been a dance card or carnet du bal, or might have been just a daily agenda for a lady´s or gentleman´s visiting schedule fo the day.
Hinge opens and closes perfectly. Opening buttom.
In very good condition.In the back, down, a little bump. Please see the last photos.
