This item in my EBAY store is an EAPG CLEAR "CAMBRIDGE" (5)PC "HOBSTAR & FEATHER" ELEGANT GLASS TANKARD STYLE WATER SET. This Early American Pattern Glass clear Cambridge "HOBSTAR & FEATHER" (5)PC tankard water set is antique glass that has survived well over 100 years of survival and because of age have now become beautiful family heirloom pieces of glass that and is in excellent condition having NO chips, cracks, scratches, and NO glass staining; I may also add that this
EAPG CLEAR "CAMBRIDGE" (5)PC "HOBSTAR & FEATHER" ELEGANT GLASS TANKARD STYLE WATER SET is all early vintage antique glass and that all have been used and displayed over many years and all is still a very beautiful water set;
There are NO heat checks anywhere around the top of the handle or at the bottom of this handle where this handle was pressed into this pattern; This is not a pick or choose situation here, if a return would be necessary ALL (5)PCs, the tankard style water pitcher and ALL (4) flat water tumblers need to be returned because this (5)PC tankard style water set is selling as (1) item and also because of the price, NO exceptions! This
clear "Cambridge" elegant glass "HOBSTAR & FEATHER" (5)PC tankard style water set that I have here is a vintage old glass antique water set that has been used and displayed over a long period of time, and is very beautiful;
I buy volume and it is necessary to sell by volume due to the pile up of glass, in this case you can mail out five pieces of glass for the same price as it would cost to mail one item;
The "NEAR CUT" signature is incised into the bottom of the glass handle shown in a photo, neither of the (4) flat water tumblers are maked with this (near cut) signature, this signature is a "Cambridge" characteristic the company used in its early days of glass making; This "Cambridge" water set I have here does have those Early American Pattern Glass characteristics of having your stress marks, straw marks, and air bubbles inside the glass when this EAPG water set was produced in those early days of the glass making process;
You can see this non-flint sought after EAPG pattern in one of my many reference books, one by, "Harold & Judy Bennett", their book "The Cambridge Glass Book", this is an early book that I've owned for over 25 years, these folks show and talk about this "Cambridge" "HOBSTAR & FEATHER" pattern on page #70; Numerous (all) photos were taken outside in natural daylight in different backgrounds in numerous angles and positions to show pattern, glass clarity, condition & size hoping to answer any and all questions but if need be you can E-mail me or you can see me on my NEW web site at terrymackeyantiques.com.
