Description
Offered for your consideration is a beautiful clear glass butter dish with lidmade by the Westmoreland Specialty Company
(1889-1924) in their pattern number 500. Also known as "Bridle Rosettes", "Checkerboard", or "Old Quilt", this pattern was introduced in 1910.
The butter dish base measures 7 inches (17.8 cm) in diameter and is 0.75 inches (1.9 cm) tall. The lid is 5 inches (12.7 cm) in diameter and is 4 inches (10.2 cm) tall. Combined, the base and lid measure approximately 4.5 inches (11.4 cm) tall to top of finial.
The butter dish base and lid are in excellent used condition with no cracks, chips, noticeable scratches, roughness, nor repairs. Butter dish is used so there may be faint surface scratches, minor wear, or other signs of use. and there may be shear (straw) marks and other minor imperfections due to the manufacturing process used at the time.
Butter dish base and lid will be shipped from a smoke-free home and will be packed securely for shipping.
