Description
Offering this lovely, rare, hard to find EAPG footed pitcher by Belmont/McKee. This piece is circa 1880's and features a pressed highly detailed forest scene of a buck and doe deer standing under a pine tree. There is also a fine English hobnail point detailing present in two different sizes. The larger one runs vertically down the sides of the pitcher and the finer smaller one runs along the upper rim. It is made of a heavy grade glass with mold lines and a few tiny air bubbles present. There are a couple of small chips under the spout and another along the rim of the pitcher. There is an imperfection to the base of the pitcher which I have tried to describe in detail in the condition section. It is a chip that is about an inch in length along the bottom base of the pitcher. It has been filed down smooth. It was not a full thickness chip, however as a result, there is a slight irregularity to the shape of the base and a little play/motion when sitting flat. The pitcher remains completely stable and is in useable condition. The glass is bright and clear. There are no stains and a few very minimal utensil markings present. This piece continues to show beautifully and its condition is consistent with age and usage. I consider it to be in very good condition.#2810 MDP
