Victorian Etched Silver Ladies Calling Card Note Holder with Original Cards BB6

Victorian Era etched ladies calling card or note holder with original cards!
Mrs. Edmund Bernhard Kessler was born in 1860 and passed in 1922.
The family lived in Schulenburg, Texas.
The holder is a rectangle 3 1/2” x 2”. It has a hinge on the top and bottom on the left hand side.
There are 11 original owner calling or visiting notes/cards still in the holder.
We believe this may have originally been a note holder and owner used it as calling or visiting card holder.
Cards are held in place by removable metal piece that acts as a spring. (see pics)
Case is ornately etched on top with Mrs. E.B.Kessler (name). No other engravings and or identifying marks are noted.
Assumption is silver but we do not have a tester and cannot verify!
We did not attempt to clean and or polish this piece and is in found condition.
